THE SECRETARY-GENERAL
The regional administration is under the responsibility of Mr. Mohaman Sani, Secretary-General. Appointed by Decree No. 2021/043 of January 25, 2021 of the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohaman is a senior officer with a good experience in decentralization and local development.
According to Article 323 of Law No. 2019/024 of December 24, 2019 on the General Code of regional and Local Authorities, the Secretary-General coordinates the services of the regional administration. He handles the business of the region and implement the decisions of the President. To this end he has delegation of signature to discharge his duties. In addition, he attends the Bureau and the Regional Council meetings for which he shall provide secretarial services.
SERVICES OF THE REGIONAL ADMINISTRATION
The services of the regional administration comprise entities attached to the General Secretariat and technical entities.
Entities attached to the General Secretariat include:
- Administrative and Legal Affairs Unit
- Information Systems Unit
- Translation and Bilingualism Promotion Unit
- Communication and Public Relations Unit;
- Mail, documentation and records service;
The technical entities are:
- Department of Economic and Social Development
- Infrastructure and Regional Planning Division;
- Department General Affairs
